TESS Search Partners recently partnered with AHT Group to support the appointment of a Building Supervisor.
The role required an experienced supervisor capable of overseeing commercial fit-outs, refurbishment and maintenance works across live healthcare environments. Due to the nature of the projects, AHT Group required a candidate with commercial construction experience, exposure to structural works, strong subcontractor management capability, and a Building Work Supervisor licence aligned with commercial project delivery.
The search presented several challenges within the South Australian market. Many available candidates held residential-only or trade-restricted licences, limiting their suitability for commercial healthcare environments. In addition, the role required someone comfortable working across active sites, coordinating multiple trades and managing projects within highly regulated operational environments.
Following an extensive targeted search and licence assessment process, TESS Search Partners identified Angela Prins as a standout candidate.
Angela brought a diverse background across commercial, residential, and civil construction projects, with demonstrated experience delivering commercial fit-outs, structural works, and operational site projects. Her project portfolio included the Hope Valley Sports Club redevelopment, Cleland Wildlife Park works, government projects at Wakefield House, and commercial office fit-outs for organisations including Bendigo Bank and Ken Hall.
In addition to her technical capability, Angela demonstrated strong leadership experience managing large subcontractor teams, engineers, foremen, and multiple concurrent projects across active environments. Her practical approach, communication skills, and willingness to continue progressing her commercial licensing pathway aligned strongly with AHT Group’s long-term requirements.
Following a successful recruitment process, Angela was appointed into the Building Supervisor position.
