TESS Search Partners was engaged by Comwire IT to support the appointment of a Head of Finance, a key leadership role within the business.
Comwire IT required more than a technically capable finance professional. The role called for someone who could operate as part of the Senior Leadership Team, lead the finance function, strengthen reporting and compliance, improve financial systems and processes, and provide meaningful commercial insight to support business decision-making.
The successful candidate needed to balance hands-on finance leadership with strategic influence. This included oversight of day-to-day finance operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, compliance, commercial modelling, vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
TESS Search Partners identified and placed Brendan Fish as Head of Finance.
Brendan brought strong experience across technology, SaaS and growth-focused business environments. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer role with Real Time Data, where he was part of the Executive Management Group and worked closely with the Board on financial management, commercial planning, strategic reporting, cost efficiency and business performance.
This background closely aligned with Comwire IT’s requirements. Brendan brought the technical finance capability needed for the role, along with the leadership, commercial awareness and technology-sector experience required to support the business as it continued to grow.
The result was the successful placement of Brendan Fish as Head of Finance at Comwire IT, providing the business with a finance leader who could contribute to both operational performance and broader strategic decision-making.
